Try these steps:
Access BIOS Settings:
- Restart your laptop.
- Immediately press ESC or F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS Setup.
Navigate to Keyboard Backlight Control:
- Use the arrow keys to navigate to the Advanced or Configuration tab.
- Look for the option related to Keyboard Backlight Timeout.
Modify Timeout Settings:
- Change the timeout duration according to your preference.
- Save changes by pressing F10 and exit the BIOS.
HP Command Center:
- Open HP Command Center from the Start menu.
- Select Backlight Settings and adjust the timeout duration.
HP Support Assistant:
- Open HP Support Assistant from the Start menu.
- Navigate to My Notebook and then Power and Sleep.
- Adjust the settings as desired.
Microsoft Windows 11 Settings
- Adjust Power Settings:
- Open Settings from the Start menu.
- Go to System > Power & battery.
- Adjust the Screen and Sleep settings to ensure the backlight stays on for a longer duration.
