Well, based on similar postings, I guess it isnt just my computer.  I may be wrong, but this all seemed to happen after one of the upgrades on Windows 10. It only seems to happen to me after I've been away from the computer for a while and attempt to get back on. My mug shot appears on the monitor but the keyboard does not work at all. A mouse click will bring up the enttry window for the password, but then what?

At first I simply turned off the computer and then started it up again. Now, rather than waste my time with that, I moved the keyboard USB connector to the front ports and now simply move it from one to the other and it comes usable again.

Anthr thing I have seen a couple of times after doing that is that the password entry window fills with asterisks, like a keyboard key is stuck so I have to move the USB conection again.

Wouldn't it be nice if Microsoft or HP actually read this stuff and did something about it?
