My M01-F1124 desktop experiences random lagging issues, I've tried everything that I can think of to remedy this. First, the specs of my unit:

Windows 11 home
Ryzen5 4600G processor
16GB RAM (upgraded from 12GB)
1TB NVMe M.2 SSD

I clean the inside of this unit monthly (it can get a tad dusty where I live), and I've renewed the thermal paste between the cooling fins and processor. I run this unit via Ethernet cable off a TP Link 3C18 5G router.

I know how to get into BIOS, but don't know how to properly navigate it and don't want to mess things up by changing something I probably shouldn't. Same with 'internet options' and 'device settings'.

I'm at a loss here on the site loading lagging issue, so any advice or help would be welcome. All I ask is any response be written as if you're talking to a fourth grader, as I'm not the most technologically savvy person around.. thank you.

Greetings @navyvet93

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Your PC's specs look fine. How does your PC run when doing other tasks?

Download and run Speedtest to check your network's Internet speed.

Have you ever cleaned your current browser's cache? This might help if your network is providing a speedy internet connection.

What browser are you using? Have you tried a different browser.

I have been using Brave for many years.

I can't think of any firmware settings which would speed up your PC's browsing experience. I also haven't looked at "Internet Options"  in Control Panel (no need to do so) in decades.

Thanks for responding!

Overall the unit performs well when doing other tasks (such as my photoshop elements, which I purchased rather than subscription based). I use firefox as my preferred browser, and clean out cached items on a regular basis.

Speed test results: PING- 10 ms, upload- 11.65Mb/s, download 343.32 Mb/s

Overall the unit runs fine, just lags when opening some (but not all) websites. I've been thinking that maybe my cable provider's modem may be suspect, though it's fairly new. I have reset it a couple times. It's not my router as it's barely two weeks old and the issue existed before I put it to use.

May just be something I'll have to live with, as frustrating as it can be at times.

Greetings @navyvet93

My pleasure.

Yes, the ISP's modem could be at fault. But your internet: latency and throughput looks good.

Have you tried a different Ethernet cable from the modem to the new router?

You should try a Chromium browser to see what happens. I recently helped someone having a similar problem with Brave (Chromium browser).

We switched to Firefox. The problem was fixed.

I have no idea why Brave would not work correctly on my friend's  PC. This problem was a head scratcher.

Regards
