@mehaku, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your laptop. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the issue:

Power Reset:

  • Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, printers, etc.).
  • Unplug the power adapter.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to drain any residual power.
  • Reconnect the power adapter and try turning on the laptop.

Check for Hardware Issues:

  • Ensure the battery is properly seated and connected.
  • If possible, remove the battery and try powering the laptop with just the power adapter.

Boot into Safe Mode:

  • Press the power button and immediately start pressing the F8 key repeatedly.
  • If the laptop starts, select "Safe Mode" and see if it boots up.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Disconnect the power adapter.
  • Remove the battery.
  • Press and hold the power button for 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then try turning on the laptop.

Check for Beep Codes or Blink Patterns

If you hear 2 beeps, this is a BIOS error code. In HP laptops:

  • 2 beeps (or 2 blinking LEDs) typically indicate memory (RAM) failure.

Try reseating or replacing the RAM:

  • If your model has accessible RAM, open the back panel carefully.
  • Remove the RAM, clean the gold contacts gently with an eraser, and reinsert it.
  • If there are two sticks, try booting with just one (in different slots if needed).

External Display Test

  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV using HDMI. Power it on and check if there's any display output. If it works externally, it could be a screen issue.

BIOS Recovery

  • Press and hold Windows + B, then press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds.
  • Release the Power button but keep holding Windows + B for a few more seconds.
  • Wait to see if the BIOS recovery screen appears.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
