Hi @capoduro,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To create a new partition named "HP_TOOLS" on a USB drive, follow these steps.

Open Disk Management (Windows)

  1. Press Win + X and select Disk Management.
  2. In the Disk Management window, locate your USB drive (ensure it is properly connected).

Create the Partition

  1. Right-click on the USB drive and select Shrink Volume to make space for the new partition (if there is unallocated space).
  2. After shrinking, right-click on the unallocated space and select New Simple Volume.
  3. Follow the New Simple Volume Wizard:
    • Set the volume size and choose a drive letter.
    • Format the partition as FAT32 (recommended for "HP_TOOLS").
    • Set the volume label as HP_TOOLS.
    • Complete the wizard.

Confirm the Partition

After completing the process, the new "HP_TOOLS" partition should appear in Disk Management and also in File Explorer.

If you're using other operating systems like Linux, the process involves using tools like gparted or fdisk, depending on your setup.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
