Hi @15-fa0031dx1, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand how frustrating it can be when your camera isn't working. Let's try a few steps to resolve this issue:
Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates and install any available updates.
- Restart your laptop and see if the camera driver is installed automatically.
Use HP Support Assistant:
- Download and install HP Support Assistant.
- Open HP Support Assistant and check for updates and messages.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install any available camera driver updates.
Use Device Manager:
- Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Click on Action > Scan for hardware changes.
- If the camera driver is not found, right-click on the Camera category (or Imaging devices if it appears) and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
Download from HP Website:
- Go to the HP Software and Drivers page.
- Enter your laptop model (Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0031dx) and select your operating system.
- Look for the camera driver in the list of available drivers and download it.
- Install the downloaded driver and restart your computer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
