Hey there @mholmes940, Thank you for joining the HP Forums!
I understand that the monitor says no signal and goes to sleep.
Please try few steps mentioned below.
Click Start, Control Panel, System, and Maintenance, and then click Power Options.
Select High performance, and then click Change plan settings.
Change the settings to Never.
Click the Save changes button to accept the changes, and then restart the computer.
Also make sure that the Display adapter is up to date.
1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance and then clicking Device Manager.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
2. In Device Manager, locate Display Adapter you want to update and then double-click the device name.
3. Click the Driver tab and then click Update Driver and follow the instructions.
Also, make sure the cables you are connecting to monitor are securely connected or use a different video cable.
I will watch for your reply.
Have a great day!
