Hi @bayanagari

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

A missing cursor can be frustrating, but let's get it back! Here are some steps to troubleshoot:

Enable the Touchpad

  • Press Fn + F7 (or Fn + F5/F6, depending on your model) to toggle the touchpad.
  • If using an external mouse, unplug and reconnect it.

Restart Your Laptop

  • Sometimes, a simple restart resolves cursor issues.

Check Mouse Settings

  • Press Win + R, type main.cpl, and hit Enter.
  • Go to the Pointer Options tab and ensure the cursor is visible.

Advanced Troubleshooting:

Update or Reinstall Mouse Drivers

  • Open Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
  • Expand Mice and other pointing devices, right-click your touchpad/mouse, and select Update driver.
  • If updating doesn’t work, try Uninstall device, then restart your laptop.

Enable Mouse in BIOS

  • Restart and enter BIOS (F10 during boot).
  • Look for Internal Pointing Device and ensure it’s enabled.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

  • Restart your laptop and press F2 repeatedly to enter HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  • Run a Touchpad Test to check for hardware issues.
