Hi @ojjaash
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
We understand that the Chromebook is stopping at the “Graphic Console started” message and is not continuing to the normal startup screen. This can occur when the startup process does not complete correctly.
Since Windows 10 (64-bit) is listed but the device is described as a Chromebook, the steps below begin with safe hardware recovery actions that apply without making changes to Windows or ChromeOS.
Please try these steps in order:
1. Perform a complete power reset
- Press and hold the Power button until the Chromebook turns off.
- Disconnect the AC adapter.
- Remove all connected devices, including USB drives, memory cards, external displays, docks, and other accessories.
- Press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds.
- Reconnect only the AC adapter.
- Turn the Chromebook on and check whether it moves past “Graphic Console started.”
2. Try the Chromebook hardware reset
If this is an HP Chromebook:
- Turn the Chromebook off.
- Press and hold the Refresh key.
- While holding Refresh, briefly press the Power button.
- Release Refresh when the Chromebook begins to start.
This hardware reset is intended to restart the Chromebook's hardware components and does not normally remove locally stored user data.
3. Check whether the recovery screen is accessible
If the same message remains:
- Turn off the Chromebook.
- Press and hold Esc + Refresh.
- While holding both keys, press Power.
- Release the keys when a recovery screen appears.
If a recovery screen opens, do not perform an OS recovery yet, as recovery can remove locally stored data. Note any message or error displayed on that screen.
4. If this is actually an HP Windows 10 laptop
Because the post lists Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit), there may be a mismatch between the operating-system selection and the actual computer. If this is an HP Windows notebook rather than an HP Chromebook, the recovery procedure is different, so Chromebook OS recovery should not be performed.
Let me know if this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
