Hi @wendyibarra12, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Factory resetting your computer can definitely help improve its performance. Here are the steps to factory reset a Windows PC:

Open Settings:

  • Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
  • Go to Update & Security.

Navigate to Recovery:

  • On the left side, click on Recovery.
  • Under Reset this PC, click Get started.

Choose an Option:

  • Keep my files: This option reinstalls Windows but keeps your personal files. It removes apps and settings.
  • Remove everything: This option removes all your personal files, apps, and settings. It's ideal for a fresh start.

Follow the Prompts:

  • If you choose Remove everything, you can also select Clean the drive if you want to make it harder for others to recover your files.

Start the Reset:

  • Click Reset and wait for the process to complete. Your computer will restart several times during this process.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
