Greetings @michaelnguyen21
Welcome to the HP Forum.
Solving a slow PC problem is a tough nut to crack; too many variables.
How long have you been using the currently installed copy of W10? Did your PC initially run great but has generally slowed down over time?
Please provide a HP Product Number. Check this Site showing how to get the specific product number.
I need the product ID so I can look at systems specs. A slow CPU, minimum RAM, onboard graphics, and a slow platter HDD will cause this problem.
Open Task Manager. Look at Startup. How many programs start when Windows is running? Many of those programs don't need to start when Windows is running.
Here are my startup items:
Is your system disk saturated? Do you periodically run Disk Cleanup or Storage Sense to clean up junk files and unneeded Windows update files? Do you routinely delete browser temp files?
Do you defragment the system disk if it is a platter HDD or trim the system disk if it is a SSD?
Do you have more than one Anti-Virus program running?
Sometimes you have to bite the bullet when all else fails, back up data on the system disk, then do a clean Windows installation or a HP Cloud Recovery.
The hardware is aging if the PC runs slow after a clean install.
