my hp desktop is  saying contact system administrator every time i try to download a game

Possible Causes:

  1. User Account Control Restrictions: Your account might have limited permissions.
  2. Parental Controls or Group Policies: If the device is managed by an organization or has parental controls enabled, it may block downloads.
  3. Antivirus or Security Software: Some security programs may restrict game downloads.
  4. Windows Defender or Firewall Settings: These settings could be preventing the download.

Try this: 

 

Run as Administrator

  1. Right-click on the game installer and select Run as administrator.
  2. If prompted, enter the administrator credentials.

If the issue persists, could you confirm whether your desktop is a personal device or managed by an organization (e.g., workplace, school)? Also, let us know which Windows version you're using and device model. This will help us provide more accurate troubleshooting steps.
