@asadullahchanna, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating to deal with automatic scrolling on your HP laptop. Here are some steps you can try to fix this issue:
Check for stuck keys: Sometimes, keys like the arrow keys or Page Down might be stuck. Ensure all keys are functioning properly.
Clean the trackpad: Dirt or moisture on the trackpad can cause unintended inputs. Clean it gently with a soft cloth.
Update drivers:
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand Mouse and other pointing devices.
- Right-click on your touchpad or mouse and select Update driver.
Adjust touchpad settings:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad.
- Adjust the sensitivity settings or disable specific gestures.
Disable scroll inactive windows:
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mouse.
- Turn off Scroll inactive windows when hovering over them.
Check for software conflicts:
- Close background apps one by one to see if any app is causing the issue.
- Perform a full system scan with your antivirus to ensure no malware is causing the behavior.
Update Windows:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
