Device manager shows an Unknown Device, with the properties "on Intel(R) ICH9 LPC Interface Controller - 2918". Where do I get the driver?
Many thanks

for this "chipset" driver for your computer's motherboard.

See the following HP document on that very issue for your PC.

Same problem. The "Unknown Device" is still the same "Unknown device" "device unknown / manufacturer unknown / on Intel(R) ICH9 LPC Interface Controller - 2918" and "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)" in Device Manager properties.
Many thanks.

This asked me to replace the3 curent driver with an older one, which I did, since I have no other options.

Please follow the instructions at: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01614142
This is the same document (but targeted to the US/English) market as the Other Person recommended.

At almost ten years in its product service life, the motherboard for your dc5800 may no longer be serviceable.
