new computer that i cant use

I bought this (trying to be nice here) computer less than 2 weeks ago. have not been able to use it yet. Installed several documents from old computer, like my wife's med list, it will not let the printer recognize them. apparently my works program is old . HP will not answer tech support, say I need warranty info enter serial number, I did said warranty ran out in August 2019.  DUH THE COMPUTER IS 2 WEEKS OLD.. answer a phone call, shut down virtual assistant.
