Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I recently had to factory reset my computer. It wants me to activate windows 8.1. I have contacted support. I really need help with this, I don't know what to do or who tocontact for help.

I don't have the product key for 8.1, but thanks to the Belark Advisor, I did find a copy of my activication key in a document I had stored in One Drive.

Greetings Bobsbratt,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not an HP employee.

 

Windows activation can sometimes mess up. An HP factory reset activation problem should be easy to fix. You will have to use the phone option.

 

Please see instructions at this Microsoft site on how to activate Windows when you have a problem.
