not enough disk space tp install bios

Executing the software update on the PC the update program will attempt to make backups of the BIOS on a recovery partition.  There is not enough space for the backups.   Alternately there might be a disk problem.

Have you run diagnostics?
Tap the ESC key after powering on to run diagnostics.
Do not allow any updates if disk or memory fail.

Is there a need for BIOS update?  It is always risky to update bios

If the system passes diagnostics and you need the BIOS update then use the USB option  to create a bootable USB.  This bypasses the problem of making backups on the hard drive.
