Your brother-in-law can continue to use the PC as long as he wants on W10.

There are folks out there that still run Windows XP and Windows 7 on their PCs because they don't like W10/W11 and those PC's have been out of Microsoft support for years.

It's just that there could be security vulnerabilities and whatnot and that is the risk that folks take that want to continue using out of date operating systems.

You can keep using the s5-1204 Desktop PC as long as you want.

It just won't get any further cumulative or security updates after October of this year.

You can install W11 on the PC, but you have to use a workaround to do so.

If you are interested in doing an in-place upgrade from W10>W11 let me know and I will give you the instructions to do that.

Paul,  I was just concerned that if I downloaded 11 on the two new laptops, something might get screwed up.  I have to get my brother in law use to the laptop.  I just wanted to make sure that nothing would get messed up until he got use to the laptop, but he could still use the desktop.  Thank you
