Hi @PinkJilly,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check for Obstructions:
- Ensure that the fan is free from any physical obstructions or debris that could be preventing it from spinning properly.
Update BIOS and Drivers:
- Sometimes fan control is managed through BIOS or driver updates. Visit the HP Support website and check for any updates specific to your laptop model that might include fan management enhancements.
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics:
- Use HP's built-in hardware diagnostics tool to check for any alerts or issues with your laptop's system fan. You can access this tool by restarting your laptop and pressing the F2 key during boot to enter the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics menu.
Check Fan Settings:
- If your laptop has any software that manages fan speed, check to see if the settings are appropriate and if the fan is being recognized.
I hope this helps.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
