Good morning, I own an HP Pavilion Elite HPE 420it desktop PC updated to Windows 11 Pro 25h2 with BIOS version 6.18, an Asus NVIDIA GeForce GT1030 graphics card with 2 GB of RAM, 8 GB of installed RAM, and a Tecnoware Free Silent 500-watt power supply. I would like to know if, in the future, I need to replace this graphics card with a new one, such as an NVIDIA Rtx MSI 3050 low profile, the current BIOS will detect it, or if there is a risk that the PC will not boot. If so, what recent, high-performance graphics card would be best suited for this PC, given the current BIOS? I look forward to hearing from you

The (low-profile) RTX 3050 is a fine graphics card for sure, but the most critical issue is that your vintage HP HPE-420it uses a Legacy BIOS. Most modern graphics cards, including the RTX 30xx series, are designed for UEFI motherboards.
The problem is this: many newer Nvidia cards lack "Legacy Support". Meaning, if you plug an RTX 3050 into this motherboard, the PC may fail to boot, hanging at the splash screen or giving "beep codes" (usually 6 beeps).
Bottom line is this: some users report success with RTX 30xx cards that "fall back" to legacy mode, but it is not guaranteed.
Better time-appropriate graphics cards upgrade options for your PC:
MSI Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti VENTUS XS 6GB
MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Super Ventus XS OC 6GB
MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Founders Edition 8GB
EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB
Kind Regards,
