Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 is likely set to scale the document instead of printing at full size. Try these steps to fix it.
Check Print Settings
- Open the document you want to print.
- Click Print (Ctrl + P).
- In the print settings window, look for Scaling or Fit to Page.
- Set it to Actual Size or 100% Scale instead of "Fit to Page" or "Shrink to Fit."
Check Paper Size
- In the print settings, confirm that the paper size matches the one loaded in the printer (e.g., Letter (8.5 x 11 in) or A4).
- Mismatched sizes can cause automatic scaling.
Update Printer Driver
- If the issue persists, update or reinstall the printer driver:
- Download the latest driver from the HP support website.
- Uninstall the printer from your computer and reinstall it with the latest software.
Test with Another Application
- Try printing from another program (e.g., Word, PDF reader, or Notepad).
- If one application prints incorrectly but others work fine, adjust settings in that specific app.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
