Hi @Luumat,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

HP Pavilion Desktop PCs typically come with HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) pre-installed on the system. However, the specific version of this diagnostic tool can vary depending on the model and the updates provided by HP.

If you're experiencing issues with the current version of HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI (version 10.1.0.0) and you wish to downgrade to version 9.1.0.0, there are a few things to consider:

  • Check for Updates: Before downgrading, make sure that you've explored all options for addressing the issues you're experiencing. HP often releases updates to its diagnostic tools to improve functionality and address bugs. You should check if there are any updates available for the current version. This might resolve the problems you're facing.
  • Backup Data: If you decide to proceed with a downgrade, be sure to back up all your important data. Downgrading firmware or system utilities can be risky, and there's a potential for data loss.
  • Compatibility and BIOS Settings: Check that the older version is compatible with your specific hardware and BIOS settings. Using an incompatible version may cause additional issues.

It's important to remember that firmware and diagnostic tool versions are updated for a reason, often to improve system stability and security. Downgrading should be a last resort, and you should proceed with caution, taking the above factors into consideration.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for the answer given. I don't want to just go back to version 9.1.0.0. The problem is that I wanted to update the bios submitted for update from F.21 to F.30. This was not possible via the normal update service. The helpdesk then told me that they were aware of this problem and that I had to do the update via a USB stick. The EUFI program indicated that it was outdated and did not give the option to update the BIOS. I then installed 10.1.0.0 and that didn't work either. No option for the BIOS update here either. Furthermore, after installing 10.1.0.0, the online service web product detection gave problems. The search did not work, the program kept searching, without results. I have been looking for help online since October 9, but to no avail. It often takes hours for people to respond and when they do respond, I am no longer online. I now hope that a fast connection will be available next Monday afternoon, October 23, so that my two problems can be solved
