Trying to decide if this website is for real and safe:
They offer recovery media for end of life HP pcs. This would be fantastic. Site looks good but ...?
Anybody have any comments or sources to validate this business/website? thanks/cheers

> it must use https, not just http.
It's my understanding that both sites generally use http, and then will use https only when it needs to be "secure", such as a purchase of an item.
When you are just "clicking" through a web-site, and reading articles, e.g., www.cbs.com
you don't need to have a "secure" connection.

This company has been around forever (well, a long time) -- in so much that we do not usually "recommend" sites, Computer Surgeons provides an important and valuable service -- I have recommended the site. I have never heard back anything negative.
The website provides an 800 number -- this in and of itself proves nothing -- it does give you a means to talk to someone before you commit.

I say "thumbs up" to it, and also to www.RestoreDisks.com
I have not personally used either site, but many contributors on this forum have recommended both sites.

Hi,
I know it is a good site which has been around many years but to be able to say it is a safe site it must use https, not just hppt.
Regards.
