I am getting more problems with my computer. They seem to be minor but very annoying.
Today i was writing a message on Facebook Messenger and some letters showed up after some delay while dashes were appearing without any input. For couple of weeks light adjustment scale showed up and disappeared randomly in left upper corner. Around the same time i started getting a lot of scam messages in google mail, tried to use filters but email address was always changing and messages keep coming and coming. Blocking did not seem to help either.
Could it be all related to virus? I am using McAfee Total Protection software.

I understand you are facing a performance issue with your notebook. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
Update the BIOS, & Chipset drivers:

If the issue persists, then Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool and Update Windows.
- Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update , and then select Check for updates. If updates are available, install them
- Also, open HP Support assistant on your PC and run the Performance tune-up check.
If the issue still persists, then please follow the steps mentioned in the below documents:
- HP PCs - The computer is slow when used for the first time (Windows 10)
