had to hard factory reset..   Now need to reinstall the free upgrade from win 8.1 to win 10

Any help would be greatful.

It is not particularly clear but it seems that the PC was already running Windows 10.  If so, you can make the Windows 10 install media from here:

If you need the install media for Windows 10, you can make it from this Microsoft download

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

With a working PC, scroll down to the "Using the tool to create installation media"
and then follow the directions. You can make either the DVD or USB.  Then use this new media to reinstall Windows 10.

When the install asks for the product key, click the I don't have a product key option to continue, then the install will continue  It will be activated once it connects to the internet, as it uses a digital key.

If you are patient and go through all the windows updates it should eventually offer you an update to 10.  It can be time consuming but it is safe and easy.
