I don't suppose I can get back my microsoft word processor after installing new hard drive with a clean or new install of windows 7.

Hi:

If you are referring to the Office 2010 Starter program that may have been originally included with the software your PC came with, you cannot get it from HP or from the recovery media.

However, I have zipped up and attached below, a file that used to to work, that contacts the Office 2010 Starter download site and installs the program.

I haven't used it in years, so I don't know if it works anymore.

I have used it to restore Office 2010 Starter in the past when I had to clean install W7 on a couple of my PC's.

Download, unzip and run the file.

Typically Microsoft Word has to be reinstalled on the new hard drive if the new hard drive has Windows 7 from a clean install.  If Word was purchased, then use the install media from the purchase and then use the product key that came with the install  media.

Of course, if there was a backup of the old drive, it can be found in the backup and reinstalled from that.
