Hi:
The only suggestion I can offer is this...
You can use the HP cloud recovery tool and a 32 GB USB flash drive to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.

Since you have to use the utility on another PC, you will need to enter your notebook's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed to make the recovery media.
Your PC's product number is: 3LA37AA#ABA

tried with little success. really need a CD with all recovery input bootable. HP wants some out of warranty service aide sign up. phooey!! i got this from my sister she was having issues . i got it working till i tried to update video card, then all went to junk. now i got a big paper weight, windows refuse to reload. can't find a recovery cd? any help would be appreciated

You're very welcome.
HP has not sold recovery CD's in years.
All recovery kits are now on USB flash drive.
HP does not sell a recovery kit, so the only suggestion I can offer would be to buy one from this vendor at the link below.
