Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Anyone know whether I can install Windows 10 on a HP s5306uk (Win 7) slimline please?

I cannot seem to get a definitive answer anywhere.

Thank you

Hi:

Unless someone has actually upgraded that model recently and can report one way or the other, no one will be able to give you a definite answer to your question.

I looked at the specs for your PC, and processor and graphics-wise, it can run W10.

Things that may not work after the upgrade...wifi adapter, multimedia card reader.

I certainly would not risk paying to upgrade from W7 to W10.

You may still be able to upgrade to W10 for free.  See the info at the link below.

https://www.zdnet.com/article/heres-how-you-can-still-get-a-free-windows-10-upgrade/

You can try to upgrade to W10 by clicking on the blue Update Now button at the link below.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

If you are asked to enter a product key during the upgrade process, select the 'I don't have a product key' option.

If things don't work out on W10, you have 30 days to revert to W7 as long as you don't delete any files.

Many thanks.

I actually bought a disk with serial recently, just in case (I can return it unopened if I cannot use it).

I have also downloaded the Media Creation tool and created an installation USB.

I guess it's worth trying the upgrade using the USB and if absolutely necessary using the serial contained within the purchased DVD-ROM.

I am reluctant, but you dont get anywhere if you dont try !!

Thanks for the advice.
