My grandparents purchased a new Slimline 410-010 machine which came with Windows 10 pre-installed. They expressed concern and were willing to buy a new machine outright just to get back to Windows 7. I purchased a code and had a disk already, so I loaded Windows 7 back onto the machine. It was an OEM Win 10 machine so downgrading wasn't an option. After completing the install, I received yellow exclamation points on the following drivers in device manager:
- Ethernet Controller
- Network Controller
- PCI Simple Communications Controllers
- SM Bus Controller
- Universal Serial Bus Controller
I checked the HP support website for the drivers but was unable to find any of them for Windows 7. Could someone here point me in the right direction?
TIA

Hi:
See if these drivers work because I can't find any related HP models that have W7 drivers (other than the 2 or 3 you see listed).
Smbus: Install this driver first and reboot.
Ethernet: 3rd driver on the list.
USB: Download, unzip and run the setup.exe file.
Wireless (network controller) : I will need you to post the hardware ID for that device so I can figure out what model wireless card it is.
To find the hardware ID, go to the device manager and click in the network controller.
Then click on the Details tab at the top of the Network Controller window.
Now you should see a Property drop down list and it will be set to Device Description.
Drop down on that list and select the 2nd item (hardware ID's).
Post the top string of characters that you see in the window.
PCI Simple Communications Controller: Give this one a try...

You're very welcome.
You need this wireless driver for that model wireless card...
This package contains the driver installation package for the Realtek RTL8723BE/RTL8188EE wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.
File name: sp72932.exe

We also have the HP Slim Desktop 410-010 and my grandparents wanted windows 7 as well. The driver we cannot seem to find is for the video card.
The one I found is for Windows 10: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-slimline-410-000-desktop-pc-series/8499658/model/...
I was curious if that driver would work for Windows 7?

Hi:
I doubt the W10 graphics driver will work.
Try the W7 driver (zip file version) from Intel by using David's solution steps to install it at the link below...
The driver David posted is good for notebook and desktop PC's with the listed processors (the processor in your PC is supported by the driver).

You're very welcome.
When you click to expand the Display Adapters device category, you will not see an Intel HD4600 graphics adapter listed there.
You will find a Standard VGA Adapter listed there.
Follow the instructions just as he wrote them for the 4600
Because your PC doesn't have a graphics driver installed, the adapter gets a default display driver by Windows.
