I have an issue with storage, all my data is being stored to the C drive which is full. there is 1.8TB free on D drive but nothing gets save d to it unless I drag/cut& paste it to the D drive. I have problems performing routine tasks on the desktop now and I need to know how to set up the computer to make use of the unused memory on D drive?
can anyone help me or advise on what I need to do?

First of all, let's get the terms straight -- it's not MEMORY, it's DISK SPACE.
Second, here are things you can do to change the default storage location to the other drive: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/23790-change-storage-save-locations-windows-10-a.html
Third, here are some things you can do to recover some of the disk space on C: so that is is no longer full:

Also, the community Win10 Forums has the following suggestions:

Finally, there is a freeware app known as Wise Disk Cleaner. I use it every day to get rid of junk files: https://www.wisecleaner.com/wise-disk-cleaner.html
