My new Omen PC "C" drive is almost full with little storage space and yet is the default drive for all programmes e.g. photos video, installations.
"D" drive has all the empty storage space ( 2 TB)
Can someone explain that to me please??

Hi macfionn1
HP installs the operating system on a fast, but sometimes, small SSD drive.
HP also installs a standard HDD (2TB in your case) for data storage.
You have to do custom installations and direct the program installer to install all files to the 2TB HDD.
You may have to redirect downloads to the larger HDD.
You will have to move all data off the small SSD.
All program installations will have to be uninstalled and reinstalled using the custom installation procedure so program files are on the 2TB HDD instead of the small SSD.

Why would HP set up computers like this? If data and files for the program files are supposed to be on the D Data drive, the user shouldn't have to go into the system and alter settings on a brand new computer. Most users won't hae a clue how to anything except pay someone to work on a new computer.
