t630 Window 10 iOT Enterprise 2016 LTSB upgrade to 2019 LTSC

Microsoft Windows 10 IOT

I noticed in the HP ThinUpdate utility there was a new release of Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, from 2016 LTSB to 2019 LTSC. When I created a recovery drive with it, I was prompted with the following message:

***ERROR*** The system does not have license for the image OS!

Is there a way to upgrade to this? How do I do that?

HP Support said that the 2019 LTSC is a different license. I was not able to get any more information on how to upgrade yet.

Just ran into this problem today as well. This is beyond ridiculous.

I'm about done with HP overall, their support is horrible. Every one of their websites are trash.

There is a Field Upgrade documentation from HP detailing the upgrade possibilities:

Got an update from our HP contact/reseller upgrade license is €80 per Thin Client in our case with 250 T630's this wil cost €20000 for a license that should be free according to Microsoft, this is just stupid...

And as far as i know it is still not possible to find out what version you get if you order a T630 now,
