Hi @harsh1329,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Notebook 15 touchpad is not working despite checking and installing the drivers, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

Check Touchpad Settings

  • Function Key: Sometimes, the touchpad can be disabled using a function key. Look for a key with a touchpad icon (usually one of the F-keys, like F7 or F9) and press it while holding the Fn key.
  • Settings:
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad.
    • Ensure that the touchpad is enabled.

Update Drivers

  • Go to the Device Manager:
    • Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
    • Expand the Mice and other pointing devices section.
    • Right-click on the touchpad device (it might be listed as "Synaptics" or "ELAN") and select Update driver. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
  • Alternatively, you can visit the HP Support website and search for your notebook model to download the latest touchpad driver.

Uninstall and Reinstall Drivers

  • In Device Manager, right-click on the touchpad device and select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your laptop, and Windows should automatically reinstall the touchpad drivers.

Check for Windows Updates

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for any available updates. Install them if there are any.

Check BIOS Settings

  • Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS setup (usually by pressing Esc, F2, or Del during boot).
  • Look for a setting related to the touchpad and ensure it's enabled.

Perform a System Restore

  • If the touchpad was working previously, you could perform a system restore to revert to a point when it was functioning.
  • Search for System Restore in the Start menu and follow the prompts.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
