Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi Everyone, my touchsmart 610-1130Y windows 10 pro OEM bootable installation USB flash drive hangs and the PC powers down after windows 10 logo shown and advances to a purple blank screen with flashing cursor.  Bios is ING 7.0.2.  I thought perhaps a BIOS flash might help.  I'm not sure what the latest BIOS is.  Where can I find that out, and where might I find the bios and the bios flash tool?  If there is a possible better solution I am open to that, as well.  Thanks much!

This model, is probably not with original windows pro..
you say you have problems because you tried to install windows pro, ok..
But before that , the computer was working there ..
It seems to have a big problem, it turns off, during the installation, I doubt that doing an update is a solution, if it turns off during the operation, if not already the case, the motherboard risks to be unusable

Thanks for your input.  The reason I thought a BIOS update might be helpful is that I think the hangup is caused by a conflict between the video firmware and the bootable media.  As you say, the PC worked fine with it's last HDD and Win 7, so I don't believe there is a hardware problem.  I am installing an SSD drive and hopefully, Win 10.  Just fooling around I tried a bootable install of Ubuntu 18 and got roughly the same result.  REiterating, can anyone tell me where to BIOS updates and installation tool live?  Thanks!

it seems that the computer is no longer in support at hp, so nothing is available
it would therefore be necessary to search on third-party sites, with the risks that this implies
that said, I did not quite understand the rest of your answer, but if the computer had randomly updated, a bios update, if there is, is even more risky

 

so no guarantees, but there might be this one, but try as a last resort!

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Click the Download Only button.
2. At the File Download screen, click the Save button.
3. At the Save As screen, save the file to your Desktop.
4. If a message appears stating that the file already exists, click YES to
overwrite file.
5. Double-click the icon for the update downloaded to your desktop, and then
click NEXT.
6. Follow on-screen instructions.
7. If prompted to restart the system upon completion of the update, click YES
and allow system to restart.
