I also had errors when trying to download updated drivers from the hp website. Also my computer takes 10-15 minutes to load once i turn it on. sometimes i have to turn it off and back on to get it to run properly. Please help. Hi @myrasantiago,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I understand how stressful and inconvenient it must be to face these issues, especially when your ability to work from home depends on having a reliable computer. Let’s work together to resolve them.
- Have you recently installed or updated any software or drivers that might coincide with these errors starting?
- Do you notice if the slow startup and VPN issues occur after specific updates or system changes?
- Are there any other signs of system performance issues, such as unexpected crashes or freezes, beyond the slow startup?
Let's try these steps.
Check for Windows and HP Updates:
- Open Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for pending updates.
- Visit the HP Support page for your All-in-One 24-df0076 and manually download any critical updates, particularly for network drivers.
Run Windows Troubleshooters:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
- Run the Network Adapter and Windows Update troubleshooters to identify and resolve issues with your VPN and driver downloads.
Clear Startup Programs to Improve Boot Time:
- Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and go to the Startup tab.
- Disable unnecessary programs from starting up with your PC to reduce boot time.
Reset Network Settings:
- Press Windows + R, type cmd, and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to run as administrator.
- Type the following commands, pressing Enter after each:
-
- Restart your PC and try running the VPN again.
Scan for System Corruptions:
- Run the System File Checker to detect and repair system files:
- Open the command prompt as an administrator.
- Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
- Allow the scan to complete, then restart your system.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
