HP Pavilion Desktop - TP01-0286nb
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I get error message 0x8007001f when I try to update Windows 10 to Windows 11 24H2.
System file check performed (sfc/scannow) > no error messages.
BIOS and drivers have been updated in advance.
Troubleshooter performed and no error messages.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this problem?
Thanks in advance for your response.
Regards

The only suggestion I can offer other than backing up your files onto  a portable hard drive and clean installing W11, would be to click on the W11 Installation Assistant button at the link below (1st option) to do an in-place update from W10>W11:

Download Windows 11

Thanks for the quick reply.
I'll definitely try your suggestion.
All my files are on my desktop and also in the cloud (OneDrive).
So I think I can safely install Windows 11 without an extra backup onto a portable hard drive, right?

You're very welcome.

Yes, if the Windows Installation Assistant method also fails to do an in-place upgrade, you can clean install W11 by making a bootable USB installation flash drive with the second option on the link I posted.

I haven't had time to do the installation yet.

It's scheduled for this coming weekend.

I'll keep you posted on the results
