when logging in, over the last few months, I have been taken to an alternative generic desktop on occasion and it is happening more often. Sorted by a restart but want trouble-shot and fix, thanks

This may be caused by the taskbar's multiple desktop launcher Task View. Possibly it can be disabled as explained here

Another method but it did not work for me in windows 11 but please read it.
