Hi @Ken3278,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you want to know how to shut down the HP desktop, sharing multiple steps on how to shut down the Pc.

Here are three quick methods to shut down your Windows laptop using keyboard shortcuts:

1. Alt + F4

This classic shortcut still works wonders:

  1. Close all open programs.
  2. Press Alt + F4 simultaneously.
  3. Use the arrow keys to select “Shut down” from the dropdown menu.
  4. Press Enter.

2. Windows Key + X

This method provides quick access to advanced system options:

  1. Press Windows Key + X together.
  2. Press U, then U again to shut down.

3. Ctrl + Alt + Delete

This combination is particularly useful if your system is unresponsive:

  1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete simultaneously.
  2. Click on the power icon in the bottom right corner.
  3. Select “Shut down.”

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
