I haven't updated my bios since I got my desktop (Dec 2019) and when I went to finally update it, HP only has support for W10 20H2 but I have W10 20H2. Would my bios get bricked if I tried to update it with those drivers? / is there any alternative places to get an update for my bios?

I believe your system has ROM ID 8653 and the release history for all bios up to Aug, 31, 2023 (20H2) is
Version: F.32 Rev.A Fixed in this release: - Provides enhanced security. Version: F.33 Rev.A Fixed in this release: - Provides enhanced security. Version: F.34 Rev.A Fixed in this release: - Provides enhanced security. Version: F.35 Rev.A Fixed in this release: |
There are no "fixes" other than security. If this system is in a corporate environment the network or system manager would be updating the BIOS and replacing any bricked systems.
IMHO, at home most of those "security fixes" will cause your system to run slower.
If the "fix" allowed a CPU upgrade, more or faster memory, .improved audio quality or faster USB speed then I would consider a bios update but only after running diagnostics to be sure the memory and disk are good.
If still under warranty then bricked system can be replaced, if not then it is your risk.
