I have a Z640 running Windows 10 Pro.  Recently it developed the problem of when booting to windows, after a random amount of time, it will BSOD with the

Driver IRQL NOT LESS or equal.

What failed: iaStorB.sys

Message.

I check the drivers and windows says they are up to date.

Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Thanks.

Hi @bitmangler

Welcome back.

This bug check is caused by kernel-mode device drivers using invalid memory addresses while at a raised interrupt request level.

Have you tried uninstalling the driver (Ide or ATA controllers) in Device Manager? But don't delete the file from your system. Windows should reinstall the driver at a system restart.

Or try reinstalling Intel RST driver for your PC at this HP Site

Let the Forum know if this fixes the problem.

Regards
