Hi @TC275,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you’ve done some thorough checks already. Here are a few additional steps to try to resolve the issue with your keyboard symbols being mixed up:

Verify Keyboard Layout Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language.
  • Click on Options next to your current language.
  • Under Keyboards, make sure US Keyboard is selected. If not, add it.

Check Input Method:

  • Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language.
  • Click on Advanced keyboard settings.
  • Ensure that Let me use a different input method for each app window is unchecked.

Test with Another User Account:

  • Create a new user account on your PC.
  • Log in with the new account and see if the keyboard issue persists. This can help determine if the issue is user profile-specific.

Reinstall Keyboard Drivers:

  • Go to Device Manager (you can search for it in the Start menu).
  • Expand Keyboards, right-click on the wireless keyboard, and select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your computer. Windows should automatically reinstall the keyboard drivers.

Check for Interference:

  • Make sure there are no other wireless devices nearby that might interfere with the keyboard signal.

Test Keyboard on Another PC:

  • If possible, connect the keyboard to another computer to see if the issue persists. This can help identify if the problem is with the keyboard itself.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
