A window about 5 x 7 opens on it’s own. This message is across the top.

C:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\installutil.exe

Below that it says, Exception occurred while initializing the installation.

Below that it mentions Badimage and HP Support.

Can you tell me how to get rid of this annoying window?  Thank you.

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

 

Your PC is fairly new.

 

It is probably a good idea to run a Check Disk (Link), and HP boot diagnostics (Link) when you see this type of error.

 

The installation of any Microsoft software should not cause this error message.
