Hi @Rizwana_88,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Pavilion x360's keyboard is not working after a Windows update and the system has slowed down, here are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issues:

1. Restart Your Laptop

  • A simple restart can sometimes resolve issues that occur after updates.

2. Check for Physical Obstructions

  • Ensure that there are no physical obstructions (dust or debris) affecting the keyboard.

3. Check for Windows Updates

  • Sometimes, subsequent updates can fix issues caused by previous ones:
    1. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.Check for any pending updates and install them.

4. Run the Keyboard Troubleshooter

  1. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.Click on Additional troubleshooters.Select Keyboard and run the troubleshooter.

5. Update or Roll Back Keyboard Drivers

  1. Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand the Keyboards section.
  3. Right-click on your keyboard device and select Update driver. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
  4. If the keyboard driver was recently updated, you can also try rolling it back:
    • Right-click the keyboard in Device Manager, go to Properties, then the Driver tab, and select Roll Back Driver if available.

6. Check Device Settings

  • Sometimes settings can change after updates:
    1. Go to Settings > Devices > Typing and check for relevant settings.Ensure that the keyboard is enabled.

7. Disable Filter Keys

  • Filter Keys can interfere with keyboard input:
    1. Go to Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard.Ensure that Filter Keys is turned off.

8. System Performance Check

  • If your system is running slow, consider the following:
    • Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and check for any applications using excessive CPU or memory.
    • Consider disabling unnecessary startup programs:
      • Right-click the taskbar and select Task Manager > Startup tab, and disable non-essential items

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
