Hi @Rizwana_88,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Pavilion x360's keyboard is not working after a Windows update and the system has slowed down, here are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issues:
1. Restart Your Laptop
- A simple restart can sometimes resolve issues that occur after updates.
2. Check for Physical Obstructions
- Ensure that there are no physical obstructions (dust or debris) affecting the keyboard.
3. Check for Windows Updates
- Sometimes, subsequent updates can fix issues caused by previous ones:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.Check for any pending updates and install them.
4. Run the Keyboard Troubleshooter
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.Click on Additional troubleshooters.Select Keyboard and run the troubleshooter.
5. Update or Roll Back Keyboard Drivers
- Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Keyboards section.
- Right-click on your keyboard device and select Update driver. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If the keyboard driver was recently updated, you can also try rolling it back:
- Right-click the keyboard in Device Manager, go to Properties, then the Driver tab, and select Roll Back Driver if available.
6. Check Device Settings
- Sometimes settings can change after updates:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Typing and check for relevant settings.Ensure that the keyboard is enabled.
7. Disable Filter Keys
- Filter Keys can interfere with keyboard input:
- Go to Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard.Ensure that Filter Keys is turned off.
8. System Performance Check
- If your system is running slow, consider the following:
- Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and check for any applications using excessive CPU or memory.
- Consider disabling unnecessary startup programs:
- Right-click the taskbar and select Task Manager > Startup tab, and disable non-essential items
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
