Hi @ogcsoccer,

You can find the serial number for your HP 27-a230 All-in-One in several places:

On the Device:

  • Back Side: The serial number is typically located on a sticker or printed on the back side of the device.
  • Bottom of the Device: Sometimes, the serial number can be found on a sticker on the bottom of the device. You might need to tilt the device slightly to read it.

Windows System Information:

  • On Windows 10/11:
    1. Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
    2. Type cmd and press Enter to open Command Prompt.
    3. In Command Prompt, type wmic bios get serialnumber and press Enter. The serial number will be displayed.
  1. Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
  2. Type msinfo32 and press Enter to open the System Information window.
  3. In System Information, look for System SKU or Serial Number in the System Summary section.

In HP Support Assistant:

  • Open the HP Support Assistant application.
  • Go to the My devices tab.
  • Select your All-in-One device.
  • The serial number should be displayed under the device's details.

BIOS/UEFI:

  • Restart your computer and access BIOS/UEFI settings by pressing the designated key (usually F10, F2, F12, or ESC) during startup.
  • Look for the serial number in the system information or main screen of the BIOS.

Product Box:

  • If you still have the original packaging, the serial number can usually be found on a label on the box.

I hope this helps.
