Hi:
You may run into driver issues with the Wi-Fi, graphics and audio if you upgrade to W10.
HP never supported that model for W10, so there are no W10 drivers, and the PC is more than 10 years old so there aren't any drivers available from HP anymore.
There is no telling. Upgrading would be an experiment at best.
If you are interested in upgrading your PC to W10, here is the easiest way to do it:
To upgrade to W10, you can make a bootable W10 installation flash drive with the Media creation tool from the link below.
Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)
After the media is created, don't boot from it.
Open the flash drive in Windows explorer and double-click on the Setup application you see in the list of files on the flash drive to begin the upgrade process to W10.
If you don't have a W10 PC to create the installation media with, Microsoft made some security changes, and the media creation tool no longer works on W7 & W8/8.1 unless you make some registry changes.

If W10 does not work as expected, you have 10 days to go back to W7 as long as you do not delete any of the W10 upgrade files or the Windows.old folder.
- Start by opening Settings – Click Start > Settings or type Settings in the search bar and click it or press Windows key + i.
- Click Update and Security
- Click Recovery then click Get started under Go back to Windows 7
- Here you can make multiple selections why are going back to your previous version of Windows along with additional details or you can choose just one, and click Next.
- Make sure you have your password ready to sign into your old version if you had been using one. Click Next.
- The process can take a while depending on the amount data, applications and settings. Click Next.
- Click Go Back to begin the process.
- Windows 10 will Restart, this will be your screen throughout the recovery process.
