I have 2 users configured on this Windows desktop - one admin, one standard.
HP Support Assistant was not displaying (just stuck with blank UI) for the admin user - so I have uninstalled (via Windows Add/Remove Programs) with the intention of reinstallilng.
Uninstall seems to have partially worked (HPSA now won't work for either user), although I note the taskbar still has the HP question mark icon stuck on it at the right in front of the system tray (so that tells me maybe not fully uninstalled).
But trying to reinstall the HPSA software (download from HP) it gives me message
"A new version of HP Support Assistant is installed. Setup will now close"
Any way to get this completely uninstalled myself or do I need a 3rd party tool to clean the mess up (tried Revo Free but it doesn't see the software).
Thanks.
edit: found previous post and managed to run (as Administrator) the program "UninstallHPSA.exe" found in "C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP Support Framework". Told it to completely remove settings and then I could reinstall again.
