Your computer: HP RP5 Retail System Model 5810 Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

This page indicates that it was shipped with Windows 7 preinstalled, which implies that it getting old.

What sort of "support" do you expect?  Within the last 5 years, HP probably has not issued any BIOS updates, and probably never will.

I am having trouble posting a new thread so I hope you don't mind if I try to reply to your thread to see if the 'reply' side of things work. It is just a test to see if I can post anything at all or whether I have been blocked for some reason. I can't ask the forum controllers because I can't post new threads. I get a message about "You do not have sufficient privileges....." but I never used to get this. I have tried several times over two days. I've tried both Firefox and Vivaldi browsers. I've rebooted my router. All without success so I thought I would try the 'Reply'.

I was able to 'Reply' so why can't I post new threads?
