OMEN by HP 25L Gaming Desktop PC GT15-0000i RCTO Base Models (LaprasI)

Greetings.  I am running Windows 11 23H2.  HP Support Assistant notified me there is a BIOS update for my computer, sp155105.  However, in checking the details I noticed that Windows 11 23H2 is not listed in the OS section of the update description.  How can I be assured that this update will work with my OS?  Thanks in advance for any info.

Hi there ...
I have the same question as i suffered badly as explained ....
Kept machine and OS upto date at all times which means F42 bios and 22H3 OS updates, Laptop started behaving badly from reboot, BIOS - POST SCREEN - Your battery is degraded etc ... press start to continue ....
logged in - battery was showing as "FLAT" in windows and it was fine before update

Then it decided to behave itself - nothing wrong with the battery ? ( i know there is nothing wrong with it ffs its just over a year old !! )
then just 2 nights ago i was doing online courses and  .... DEAD LAPTOP !!

No white/orange LED at power on side ... nothing completley DEAD ...

Tried hard resets - nothing - tried bribing it with gentle finger touches - nothing....
As i am a qualified system engineer i opened her up, took the battery out - added power - nothing - then the hard reset - power light came back on - forced a bios rollback to previous - power still there - recovered the OS and booted straight in to WIN 11 22H2 - went to system services - disabled windows update service - rebooted - still working fine - shut down and opened her up - put battery back in - booted up and she behaves like nothing ever happened ??
Done a few manual updates like defender etc and im staying put !

I also noticed when you go for support that when your OS is asked for it only offers WIN 11 22H2 and below - nothing for 23H2 so if they are offering the bios of F42 to make it work which it clearly doesnt (guinea pigs come to mind here) then dont go there until they fully supprt the next H2 version from Microsoft - stick with 22H2.

Server 2025 which i use many variants of are at 24H2 and it is buggy as hell so do as we do and keep clear until officially supported.

Good luck everyone

Bosh!!
