So, I have this issue where when I install the latest bios update for my motherboard 89D8, it installs the update without updating the CPU's version and changing it from 3.94.0.5 to the version that works with the game, example 3.94.2.5. Is there a fix for this issue?

Yes the AMD B550 or older AMD MBs need a TPM 2.0 manufacturing version update.

HP Forum Administrators and the HP support team have been aware of the AMD TPM 2.0 version problem since 2025. Please see this HP Forum Thread.

Some HP MBs have received a TPM update, some HP MBs have not.

You'll just have to wait it out to see if your MB gets a BIOS update to fix this problem. Check this HP Site for a recent or future BIOS update or wait for a HP Support Assistant BIOS update.

I have a retail AMD B550 MB. The MB OEM has finally (2026) released a BIOS update to fix the TPM 2.0 version problem and the expiring Windows Secure Boot security certificate problem.

I don't work for HP so I cannot tell you if your HP MB will receive the required BIOS update.
