Hello, The connection with the entry of the GDP, you need to encrypt hard drives. My question is how do I turn on TPM in Bios. In other computers it was in the security slot, while on this motherboard.  I can not find it. In the attachment I am sending you a picture in Polish, unfortunately, that the bitlocker option will not work without the TPM function enabled.
Please help.

Regards
K.R

Hi:

The HP PRO 3500 MICROTOWER PC does not have a TPM chip.

Not mentioned in the quickspecs by doing a document search.

PC's with TPM chips have that feature enabled in the BIOS by default, and you have to go into the BIOS and disable it.

Only the Prodesk 600 and Elitedesk 800's come standard with TPM chips.

This is not well, does not turn bitlocker on

HP Recommended

No, unfortunately you can't turn bitlocker on when there is no TPM chip.

The HP 3500 Pro is nothing more than a rebadged HP Pavilion consumer desktop PC.

It uses the same Cupertino-H61-uATX motherboard as this consumer model, for example.

No HP consumer desktop PC's with Intel 3rd gen processors and series 7 chipsets came with TPM chips.

The HP 6300 Pro was the next level up from your model, and that has a TPM chip.  See page 9,

I have another problem with TPM this time in laptop HP ProBooK HP PROBOOK 4740S. I can not find an option in bios again to turn on the TPM.

Hi:

Same problem...most Probook 4x40s' don't have a TPM chip.

You need the Probook 6xx0b model series or the Elitebook 8xxx model series.

You will see no reference to a TPM in that model series specifications...

http://support.harlander.com/upload-artikelsupport/notebooks/hp/probook-4740s/win7-x64/documentation...

You will find a TPM chip listed in the 6540b quickpecs...page 3.

https://data2.manualslib.com/pdf3/70/6906/690513-hp/probook_6540b.pdf?e4e6889f6c8e1810ed9665a7f1e767...

As I wrote the other day, TPM is enabled by default in models so equipped.

You have to find the setting in the BIOS's security menu to turn it off, not turn it on.

So, if you come across a PC where no TPM is listed when you first turn it on, it doesn't have one.

Or you can set the BIOS to its defaults if you are not sure.

That will always turn on the TPM if one is present.

Ok, thanks for your help again.
